Department of Physical and Biological Sciences

Exploring the Intersection of Health and Science

The Department of Physical and Biological Sciences strives to keep pace with the rapid changes in technology affecting the teaching and study of science. Our faculty has grown, our majors of study have expanded, but most exciting of all is our home in the Center for the Sciences and Pharmacy. This $40 million facility houses state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms, which dramatically expand opportunities for undergraduate research. Students have access to large research labs and smaller spaces for team research projects with faculty. The Science wing includes a computer lab, a greenhouse, a special forensics lab, and a social space for students to study independently or in groups.

Students of the Physical and Biological Sciences department have gone on to have various achievements and even presented at conferences across the country.
